GALA DINNER
Artistic performances
The Gala Dinner evening will be celebrated by two artistic performances by Zespół Mazowsze and Boney M.
Mazowsze
"Mazowsze" is one of the world's largest artistic ensembles, which for nearly 75 years has been presenting the stylization of Polish folklore in the form of a musical show containing elements of music and dance. Folk motifs and dance figures characteristic of given regions are the basis for building individual suites with a neatly composed choreographic story. The name comes from the central region of Poland - Mazovia, but the band's repertoire quickly expanded to include the folklore of other regions. "Mazowsze" became a phenomenon and gained the title of Ambassador of Polish Culture.

The German disco group Boney M was hugely successful on the European market in the late 70s and early 80s. The band was created by producer Frank Farian. In 1975, he brought together black artists from the West Indies who worked in Britain, West Germany and the Netherlands. Boney M's first single "Baby Do You Wanna Bump?" was released in 1975, but international success came a year later - with the hits "Daddy Cool" and "Sunny" (a cover of a Bobba Hebb song). In May 1977, the single "Ma Baker" was released, in October "Belfast", and the following year "Rivers Of Babylon / Brown Girl In The Ring" (a double A-side single, which became the second best-selling single in the history of Great Britain). The success of these songs made Boney M the most popular, apart from the famous ABBA, dance group in Europe.
